[Test] Images / .gif animations don't load

Post by rick752 »

This is a nice troubleshooter post on Mozillazine for users having problems seeing some (or all) images in Firefox NOT related to Adblock Plus:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=288184

(it's been there for a while ... thought that I would just post it here)

*Note: The EasyList does NOT block image #4 there. It is supposedly a test for an adblocker, but the EasyList doesn't block that particular string

People point to that post all the time for people who have image-loading problems not related to using any ad blocker.

I find it funny that one of the pics isn't supposed to work if you are using an ad blocker. It works with the EasyList ... I don't use that string.

Yea, I seen all the pics just fine here too. And I add extra strings myself that would get FP's for most people.

I know. That's pretty funny as I don't use that particular blocking string. It must drive the guy crazy who made that. :)

I probably should have mentioned that in my first post. :?

Hahaha, it wasn't an actual ad, though, so I actually think that's a good thing. (offtopic: I've been using Firefox 3.0a5 for a while and just upgraded to a6 and LOVE it...)

Filterset.G in Konqueror blocked #4 though.
