Need a filter explanation

Hi,
Could anybody explain what this filter is supposed to block?

/adiframe|*|adtech;

The confusing part is "|*|". As I read it - it should end with /adiframe and start with |adtech at the same time. Is it possible?
Haven't seen links with ";" in the end either.

The explanation will be greatly appreciated.

That filter blocks URL containing the string /adiframe| somewhere before where URL contains the string |adtech;.
(Yes, such URLs really do exist so I'd guess the filter is as intended.)

The | (pipe) character is only an anchor when at the beginning or end of filters, in the middle it's just a | character.
