About 'non-intrusive' ads.

Post by commenter »

Hello,
in Qupzilla browser I have subscribed to easylist and easyprivacy but noticed that some ads came through that didn't in Firefox.
So I suspected the 'non-intrusive' list and by downloading https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus. ... nrules.txt , removing the @@ from the beginning of the rules and using it the ads were blocked.
I've opened a bug report for Qupzilla so maybe the devs will work around like I suppose adblock-plus does when we don't allow those ads. I just wanted to ask, is there on the easylist site a list like that exceptionrules.txt but as a blocklist, not a whitelist?

The post 'About 'non-intrusive' ads' was a mistake of mine.
The ads came through because the list wasn't up-to-date and after updating it the ads were still there but I think it was because of cache/cookies or the like.
Now after closing and opening the browser it blocks the ads fine.
Best regards.

There's no point to making something like exceptionrules.txt as a blocklist, because it's whitelisting ads that otherwise would be blocked by the major lists anyway.
