You can download stable/dev/LKCR versions of Chromium from here - https://chromium.woolyss.com

This is another best alternative apart from the official bleeding edge builds from https://download-chromium.appspot.com

Offers Chromium builds for all major OSs, so feel free to browse and leave your thoughts on their comment system or here.

Also offers portable and semi-portable versions for those who like to have it on the run :geek:

Thanks, Lanik.

@JohnDrea No, Chromium is the base for Chrome, nothing new except Chromium doesn't have any tracking shit and metrics data collection that comes with Chrome. If you want to learn more read - https://chromium.woolyss.com/#features

Ofcourse, no browser is made specifically for YOU, the user. Also that reddit thread is filled with lots of tin foiled hat theories which I won't bother myself to engage further. You will still be using some Google services which can be disabled like you do in Chrome, but there's no automated data collection and transfer happening and everything is manual, so you have lot more control comparatively.

I figured you know them. Like you said the difference here is "what are you okay with" or basic personal preference.

I'm okay with running Chrome or using Google since I'm not doing anything illegal .... well semi-illegal ... okay I should stop now ... "Hi Uncle Sam"

Ultimately if you want the browser to work 100% as you want, then you will have to cook up your own otherwise setup how much you're willing to let loose.
