Remove Google Ad at the Bottom of the Chrome New Tab Page

Post by mrj »

Google has added an ad for their services at the bottom of the Chrome New Tab page.

An example https://image.ibb.co/g8Rt4U/Chrome_New_ ... gle_Ad.png

Though I think removing this is beyond the capabilities of Easylist-using blockers, does anyone know of a browser extension that can do it?

What's needed is injection of CSS #prm-pt { display: none; }.

The Super Evil New Tab extension used to be able to do this, but now requires creation of a complete custom New Tab Page.

Thanks smed79 for the suggestions. Though none of them allow customisation of the default New Tab Page.
"Humble New Tab Page" might give me what I want.

I don't get any on Chromium. Sign out of Chromium if you're signed in and see if that helps.
