Chrome to block ads by default

Every Google Chrome user on desktop and mobile to become EasyList+EasyPrivacy subscribers by the end of the month. That is 55 % of the global web browser marketshare on all devices.

On February 15th 2018, Google Chrome will begin blocking ads that don’t meat their Better Ads Standard:

by default. The feature will source information about offending websites from the Google Safe Browsing service, and will block all ads (not just the offending ad) against EasyList+EasyPrivacy (as distributed by Google). More info:
