Tracking - tv.com [fixed]

On tv.com pages there are webbugs from dw.com.com, see e.g. http://www.tv.com/stargate-sg-1/show/18 ... =nav_bar;6

I think it is OK to kill that subdomain completely, as http://dw.com.com/
without any following argument delivers a 1x1 gif too.

Tracking - ebayrtm.com [added]

Form the eBay link posted in the ABP forum: http://cgi.ebay.com/Microsoft-Zune-White-30-GB-Digital-Media-Player_W0QQitemZ150115793614QQihZ005QQcategoryZ147175QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem This page - and probably lots of others - contains an embedded script located at http://srx.main.ebayrtm.com/rt...

Indeed - I was relutant to click on this link at work because the domain seemed to be... um... for mature audiences.

It was only after visiting it from home I realised it was one of Branson's Brands. ;-)

Re: Error with Google Analytics

That's not an error you should worry about - in fact, this is intended.

This is just the webpage's JS code trying to use a function defined in urchin.js - this won't work of course, because urchin.js is not loaded.

Right now it looks like MSN is hitting like crazy... MSN always hits like crazy. The former URL of my adblock list on a university server was answering with HTTP 301 for more than a year and a half, and MSN came back at least twice daily. I then changed to plain 404 - and still see at least one MSN...

sourceforge.net#div(adbatch) removes some space already emptied
by conventional filters, so it still is useful in my opinion.

(my list uses it)

Tracking - locally hosted urchin.js [added] (pvt)

Apparently, there are sites starting to use google-analytic's
urchin.js served by their own webserver, see e.g. computerworld.com

The code itself is pretty much the same than the google-served version,
so /urchin.js| looks like a good addition to the tracking filters to me.

Heh, is this a way to try to accelerate the new ABP release? ;-)

But I agree, the devbuild works great.

I read the story too, and I wonder whether this will drive Adblock back to Top 5 You overestimate the power of slashdot (or underestimate the number of people already using AB(P): The download graph did hardly react at all. as well as why not much people mentioned ABP, much less EasyList or any oth...
