We appreciate all of your hard work
When I show people the before and after views of web sites using Adblock Plus and the EasyList/EasyElement filters, they are amazed at the difference. The "noise", clutter, and distractions are gone, and the sites are much more usable. I shudder to think of surfing the web without these to...

What about search engines?
Can Google or any of the other search engines index this area? If so, the advertising companies may be able to access this info indirectly.

An additional eBay ad filter
I've added a filter for */eBayInternalPromos/* to my personal list. It gets rid of some "noise" when I'm browsing the auctions.

Re: Banner ads in Road Runner web mail
Actually, you already have a filter that handles the problem nicely, once the https whitelist was removed:

I still have some dead space down the right side of the page, but no more ads. Do you want me to try the iFrame tweak to see if the dead space disappears, too?

I include my logo in my signature. If I write a NEW message the signature with logo is intact. If I REPLY to a message it will add a signature but the logo disappears. ... it IS a bit odd. Here's the explanation that I found. Some spammers/advertisers like to include clear GIFs in their messages as...

Thunderbird 1.5 and embedded images

This appears to be a side effect of its anti-spam feature, and it didn't occur in earlier versions. ...

Re: Banner ads in Road Runner web mail
I have remove https from the whitelist (a new subscription update should end that). Thanks. This wouldn't be an issue with most secure URLs, but someone, somewhere, just has to abuse it.... If you right-click in the white space, does it give you an option to block an iFrame? When I right-click and ...

Banner ads in Road Runner web mail
Rick, I had to remove the @@|https://* whitelist entry from your EasyList filter in order to block an annoying ad. Within the past couple weeks, my broadband ISP (Road Runner cable) has started inserting banner ads in their web mail pages. The ads are sourced from advertising.com, but the *advert* e...
