I've spotted some adverts that appear on Alexa.com when searching. They could be blocked by or similar.

Thanks for that. I don't know why the filter ##.wikia_ad_placeholder appeared only occasionally. I am certain that on the front pages of both sites originally there was leftover space. When it was removed, I assumed it must have been a new filter and gave examples of pages with space still remaining...

I have noticed that various domains such as http://www.soureceforge.net/ ( not the real http://www.sourceforge.net) have had adverts placed on them by Sedo Domain Parking. Could the following filter please be added to EasyList to prevent the webpages from displaying such content? *sedoparking.com/*$...

The element hiding rule that's needed is which should block all similar elements on the site too.

It appears as though it was originally used to hold an advert, although whether or not this filter is enabled there appears to be little difference for me in the appearance of the penultimate paragraph. It remains indented and I cannot personally see a way to hide this element.

From what I've seen, the reason the images are blocked is because they are adverts. They track who has clicked on the images and (probably) earn the company some money in the process.
