Re: myspace.com

I checked all three sites in Safari and couldn't see anything out of order compared to the ad-free Firefox version. Are you using any filter subscriptions other than EasyList by chance? Greasemonkey turned off, EasyList and EasyPrivacy in ABP only, no other filters... The Chromeo page seems to work...

Re: myspace.com

If that is the case then there is still a FP problem in EasyList as the problem mentioned in the Adblock Plus forum thread is happening for me still here: http://www.myspace.com/chromeo http://www.myspace.com/gaudimusic My filter suggestion removes a tiny frame image form the very top of the page on...

myspace.com

On the myspace homepage (when you login to myspace, the default homepage screen - you'll need a login to see this) there is a great big empty frame left by the removal of the top banner add. It can be removed with this:

Code: Select all

myspace.com#DIV(id=leaderboard)

newscientist.com [fixed]

Hi, not posted in ages because EasyList has been working flawlessly for ages, brilliant work! Found an FP here: http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20126935.600-shapeshifting-fish-fools-scientists.html?DCMP=OTC-rss&nsref=online-news We're losing everything in the middle column at the moment, i...

Re: myspace - new home skin fp's [fixed]

thx for looking through that rick :) Sorry, I didnt explain myself very well, you definitely don't have a "home.myspace.com#DIV(class=pad5)" in your list, but something is removing the add in this element, sorry, I just mentioned this DIV element so you could locate it easier. its also def...

myspace - new home skin fp's [fixed]

Hi, with the new myspace personal page (main section for your account after you login) there's a new skin they are using, I think it's just gone to default from today. There is a false positive where by the "MySpace Announcements" in the box are being blocked. The element that is being rem...

myspace.com - broken inbox footer [n/a]

I'm pretty sure this is being caused by your filters in adblock plus, but ever since myspace changed their pm inbox layout, the footer has been broken and messes up the page display. If you could have a look at it, I toggle the adblock plus extension on and off and this seems to indicate that it is ...

Should we be Blocking "Click To Donate" Charities

Here's a moral one for you? Technically we aren't breaking anything with the filter lists by blocking the ads on sites such as http://www.care2.com/click2donate/ , but by blocking the ads on these type of sites we are blocking the revenue that goes directly to charity. What do you think, should thes...

I started a new job where I'm using the web ALOT, gave this a bash and I must say its fantastic, on a 2.0 USB stick with all the optimisations recommended (turning of cache etc) it is brilliant, virtually no different to an installed version. Soooooooo good to have my bookmarks and also adblockplus ...

Tracker Site for RyanVM's XP update pack, see how ABP+EasyList strips practically everything out of it, its a problem with it blocking http://tracker. objects.

not wanting to ressurrect past discussions, but could you link to the discussion about whether you should/shouldn't block site stats, I want to hear the for/against arguments so I can decide whether to install this new script or not. I don't mind site stat counters (fair play people like to know how...

A tutorial on writing element hiding expressions?

Hiya, just been getting into this in the last week and I'm enjoying learning about this whole adblocking expression writing thing now I've jumped ship from Filterset.g to a much more involved community. Basically, I'm a total novice and I've been trying to figure out how to write rules for element h...

demonoid.com

http://www.demonoid.com/ hiya, me again, hope I'm not being a pest, I figured demonoid is a really popular site so this might be good for alot of people. Basically that whole right hand column with the searching thing in it is totally superfluous and just irritates me (I HATE messy sites!). If you f...

thats fair enough, I suppose removing the whole background image completely would just mess things up, right? Like I said, since the page is loading about 10 times faster now with your adblocked improvements, its fantastic as it is even if you can't improve the page anymore :)

many thanks

fantastic work Rick. On the search page, without adblock it takes about 10 times longer for the page to load than with adblock running! thats incredible how much junk is loaded without adblock. Page looks so much better now, good work getting rid of all that pointless white space at the bottom of th...

torrentspy.com

http://www.torrentspy.com easylist cleans this site up really well, but easyelement needs to remove the top space otherwise (as you can see) all the icons get shunted up a bit and it screws the top of the page up. I've got greasemonkey script which sorts this, but it would be much better to have it ...
