The boxes collaps for me on all versions. This filter does an even better job:

If you mean the blank boxes, then ##.eol-ads seems to take care of 'em. Not sure if it's worth adding them on the other hand...

What I see on that page is a FB-"Like us" box which ###likeus-wrapper-outer takes care of.

That invisible overlay doesn't "show up" with IE9 or FF+ABP disabled.

This gets rid of an (invisible) overlay:

Exactly. Either make the hiding filter site-specific (for msnbc.msn.com in this case) or make an exception for thedailybeast.com. I'd prefer the former option.
