The name of that List is misleading, it doesn't remove anti adblock nags and overlays, it only removes info msgs/banners about anti adblock.

I don't get any on Chromium. Sign out of Chromium if you're signed in and see if that helps.

They announced this a while back last year. They announced they will distrust thats all, this is the outline which wasn't announced until Chromium version 70 went in Canary, so no. This is now in effect as rapidvideo.com became one of those first victims with their uploaded videos no longer playing...

Re: Chrome scanning your files - Chrome Cleanup Tool

This is why I use Chromium, don't want any surprises, don't get any either and no auto updates from Google, so I can decide when I want to update. Runs on bare essentials and all the browser functionality, without the additional crap from Google.

Re: Chrome scanning your files - Chrome Cleanup Tool

Not present in Chromium, such crap is only added in Chrome by Google.

From their Privacy Whitepaper, the clean up tool is only present on the Windows platform, so all you mac/linux/chromebook users can rest easy.

You could also add a exception domain filter of your own instead of doing a site wide whitelisting, like this -

Code: Select all

.php?zoneid=$domain=~weather.gov

@GamOfCatAndOfMouse This is a rare occurence where @intense 's filter is hiding the answers. Doesn't happen on any pages I browsed with answers.

adding

Code: Select all

quora.com#@#[id*=wrapper]:has-text(/ad\s{1,}by /i)
shows the answers again.

lol, I won't touch it with any amount of ft pole, as soon as it was bought they introduced Acceptable Ads, and I suppose they will do the same for uBlock too, now that they have already added tracking.

Was the default setting switched from a Tab to a Window? I find the Tab to be much more user friendly rather than a full blown Window pop up.

Re: Tracking in uBlock (ublock.org)

Adblock itself was bought few years ago by some mysterious buyer, so respecting user privacy is the last thing they will do. https://www.theverge.com/2015/10/2/9441319/adblock-acquisition-unknown-buyer or hand it over to uBO. hahaha, I doubt gorhill would touch that thing even with a 10 ft pole now.
