there is an extension that uses computer vision to detect ads and another one based on it to detect phishing sites https://github.com/coriolis/killphisher

this could be used to crawl the web and detect ads and so create a list automatically. all it needs are samples of how the ads look.

navigator.plugins tells the website what plugins are installed. if it outputs something different on focus.de then you could still keep flash for your flashgames.

i cant even see the ad. it tells me that im using an adblocker even if i switch off ublock and umatrix.

gorhill has his own additional lists for ublock. you could ask him to add the filter.

if curl or wget wont do the trick then there is still selenium. telling a remote controlled browser appart from a regular one wont be that easy.

a script could crawl the internet and search for known ad content like spam filters scan for known spam mails. if content is found and the url/domain is not in the list yet then a new filter rule would be added. if a script like that existed then an adblocker could have a simple report button which ...
