Re: What happened to Ares?
I'm glad Ares2 that I didn't offend you because I have a great deal of respect for you. And I understand about priorities in life. Fact I wish I had your control to do the more important things. I'm glad to hear nothing bad was in the way. And I understand. And the forums was all I could tell how yo...

Re: What happened to Ares?
Ares2 and others, I hope you didn't take that wrong. I didn't mean you didn't work your hind end off. Mostly I was thinking more about replying to post in the forums. I know you worked your tail off on the filterset itself. I was talking almost entirely about forums and keeping in touch with people ...

Re: What happened to Ares?
And Michael, nothing against Ares2, he never was as involved or hands on as you have been. I don't mean to disrespect Ares2 at all, I think he had lots of other things going on and was just not able to be on top of things like you have been. I think you are doing a great job so far. Fact it kind of ...

LOL very good. But you did know it didn't (to cause inconvenience to; disturb, trouble, or bother) me right? I just found that odd for such a word that I would think would be used more often. Thanks.. sorry to have went off topic in a major way. I just couldn't help it.

which makes it nigh on impossible to differentiate between the two. No offense meant at all. More respect really. But I've not ever seen that word used online. Not even in news articles of any kind. My hats off to that one. Nice! Edit: well I did some searching in all the forums I visit and it was ...

Re: please block emailoracle.com
What about gmail blocking images? My accounts are setup to only display images if I click the link to allow them. Which I rarely do. I guess with friends you'd be more open to do that, but if your friend would do this to you maybe it's time to reconsider the friendship? If I've misunderstood how it ...

krebsonsecurity.com##DIV#sidebar-b krebsonsecurity.com##DIV#top-banner-img Don't know if I'm correct..not great at this, but these seem to catch empty boxes left by Easylist and doesn't remove the RSS feeds or the other links in the top area. Re: Cookie Monster vs CookieSafe
I do somewhat agree with Michael about this because of adding so much extra memory and code usage to Firefox because of laziness (more or less, because you could do this without the extensions (add-ons) but they do make it somewhat faster or easier) but Permit cookies add-on is only 13k and does thi...

I'm refraining from hiding the complete banner as it contains links to the RSS as feed as well social sites and there are no apparent alternatives to them on the home page. Just updated and checked it out, looks just fine to me. I see what you was talking about and I had overlooked that. Works grea...

http://krebsonsecurity.com/ I used EHH to get these two filters, but I'm sure you can do better ones. What was missed is just blank space, but it's bad and takes up a great deal of space on the page. At the top and side at the top. Very bad IMHO krebsonsecurity.com##DIV#top-banner03 krebsonsecurity....

Re: facebook like and fan frames [rej]
ok Erunno, it was me that misunderstood. You mean if I have, for example, Facebook in my exceptions and then have third party unchecked and I then visit say cnn.com and Facebook has a third party cookie there then it will be allowed? Because it's in my exceptions, correct? Edit: btw, I don't remove ...

ok, that's fair enough. I was only playing the other side for the sake of everyone that may not know what's being discussed here. I don't know this site so I didn't know how much adult content was involved (obviously) so I can understand this one. Sorry for seemingly taking up your time for nothing,...

Re: Imagebam new adblocker message!!!!!!!!!
But where do you draw the line, if it's more then 50% porn? More then 35%? Or any porn at all? That's what I mean by slippy slope (just realized I'd been misspelling it, oops).

Re: facebook like and fan frames [rej]
This is problematic especially when white-listing big sites as Firefox will allow sending and receiving of these cookies in third-party context as well (e.g. white-list Facebook and it will receive its cookies on all sites which integrate FB plug-ins). Since I do not want to resort to completely wi...

Re: facebook like and fan frames [rej]
I like the idea of permit cookies but it has not been updat since 2007 and does not official support the current version of firefox. I'm going to look around for alternatives that are still maintained. True, but it still works perfectly. I might should fine a good alternative myself. But what I lik...

Re: Imagebam new adblocker message!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Erunno. There is lots of sites that are legit (not made just for porn) sites that do have porn on them. Some more then others, but it's a slippy slop you are getting on if you ignore a site just because it could be used for porn or it does have some 'adult content' on it. Just my opinio...

Re: facebook like and fan frames [rej]
Disable third-party cookies in Firefox and then all third-party sites (including Google, Facebook) won't be able to track you via cookies at least. Yep, I've been doing this for a several years now. In fact I disable all cookies and use Permit Cookies to allow only a few select sites (like this for...

Re: What causes Firefox to slow down
I've found plug-ins to be more of an issue with this then extensions/add-ons in most cases. But of course there is some add-ons that are a mess that do cause problems. I try to limit add-ons to what I feel I just about 'must haves'. If I go a while without using an add-on then it goes bye bye. Obvio...

Re: Expanding the list to Adult sites
Is there some place that list the top 200 adult sites? Then you have the top 200, which could easily turn into the top 300, 400... That was suppose to be kind of a joke, you know so I could look at the best ones type of joke..not that I meant it mind ya. ;) List didn't mean filterlist. It...

Re: BEEFREE and AOL (...its localizations)
Ok call me stupid if you want, but I don't get what this means. Is this about tracking or about ads displaying? If it's tracking then is the Easyprivacy used to see how that stacks up? Because Easylist isn't about blocking tracking at all. Sometimes it does just because it blocks an ad that also tra...
