Re: Malware Domains list, unexpected checksum error, ABP bug?
Yes, I am looking into this. Malware Domains does use a checksum and it seems to be valid - my guess is that there is some charset mixup here. Edit : Adblock Plus 1.1.1 reports a wrong checksum as well. Good, at least this isn't an Adblock Plus regression. Edit2 : Yes, charset mixup it is. dailynews...

Re: playstation.com trailer
Yes, that is caused by the tab being displayed/hidden. However, I have no idea why that particular Flash movie reacts to it in such a way (it really shouldn't even notice, its position doesn't change).

Easily: all you have to do is blocking access to adblockplus.org via plain HTTP (not HTTPS) for yourself and forget to update the subscription URL.

Anyone using ADP and EasyList knows the risk that websites may not display correctly You would be surprised. What's worse, many people aren't even aware that the issue is with EasyList - they report a bug in Adblock Plus. And I can't blame them, they install Adblock Plus to have an ad-free experien...

How about changing ".itor.us/" into ".itor.us/$third-party"? They aren't a user tracking service, it's a service to monitor website uptime - one that I use for adblockplus.org as well. Inserting their script into webpages is an optional part, the service is very useful without it...

That would be a rather disruptive experience for users. It would be better to keep the rules that match on many sites. As to the others - yes, those should be converted into site-specific rules (if necessary at all).

I don't think that adding the element hiding rule I mentioned there is a good idea. As already mentioned elsewhere, global element hiding rules slow down the browser - and this one is for a rare scenario.

RichardB, can you check that you have the latest Flash version installed? You can do that by going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Just a guess why you are seeing that issue but nobody else does.
