If added it change again and again (cat/mouse game).
So what? That is the nature of this game. Do you give up and leave it broken for users?

Re: SSL support and CloudFlare for Lanik.us forums

It works for me now also... as long as I don't use Chrome. Chrome has been temperamental with some HTTPS sites lately. Although it works fine when using a proxy with Chrome.

I guess something was changed, whatever it was, it was about time.

Here is further evidence of country specific issues. Using https://www.hidemyass.com/proxy

Using Netherlands, error.
Using United States, works.

Re: SSL support and CloudFlare for Lanik.us forums

You're right. I don't care to fix a problem one user is having that I can't reproduce. You're not even TRYING to reproduce it when you have proxy websites blocked locally. Your logic is so flawed that you associate 1 person that has the knowledge to work around website problems as 1 person having t...

Re: Opening up the repository of EasyList

That is the more constructive approach IMO, also most likely for people to pick up your subscription that way. Make your own dedicated list and you're not competing with EasyPrivacy; you're also not forcing people to use "EasyPrivacy" (in some form) alongside your list if they only want to block em...

Re: Opening up the repository of EasyList

When your team is overwhelmed you generally take more people in. That's not the feeling I'm getting I'm afraid.

Now the question is to start a fork on github and simply merge easylist changes back in or to create a dedicated email trackers list.

Same problem ... 404. You clearly have proxy websites blocked locally. We're not going to get any further with this until you work that out. That's not going to happen. I'm not going to revert those changes for 1 or even 2 users. What makes you think this only affects 1 or 2 users? I can't access t...

Re: Bumping topics

I can now confirm that the functionality is broken. You can only bump once until a thread response is posted. Then you can bump once again until another post, and so on.

Opening up the repository of EasyList

Do you have plans to open up or expand access of the repository to more people?

It's quite clear that the sheer amount of reports coming in is just too much for the current team and quite frankly I'd rather contribute directly, instead of bumping topics for 3 months.

It's not a Windows XP issue, at least not solely, since I'm not using that. There is definitely connection issues that have nothing to do with the browser. I cannot access the website directly anymore, as I posted in the "bumping" thread, but was completely ignored by lanik. The proxy I was using la...

Amazon filter tweak

The current rule needs tweaked:

Code: Select all

||amazon.*/gp/r.html?R=$image
I've received emails from Amazon that begin with a C= instead of an R= which prevents this filter from functioning.

Re: Bumping topics

Waiting a week seems reasonable, limiting to one bump is dumb. I think you should analyze the chaotic state of the submissions forum and actually realize that around 25% of the threads go unfixed. Just look at how much of my post history is bumps. As you said this is run by volunteers and as such th...
