It all depends on how high you have the screen height set. If you get the BIG flash ad, you are probably running at least 1024 resolution with just enough room for that (reasonably large) flash ad to display. You don't need the 1024 screen resolution to see that big ad. My screen resolution is 600x...

Just to confirm things are fine now. :)

How strange, must have been something wrong with previous installation.

Further to my last post, I took the step of uninstalling Firefox completely and re-installing it. At the moment, that seems to have cured the problem, but I can't verify till I've done a bit more surfing. All I know is that when I went to mozilla.com and the Add-ons link as described above, no certi...

This appears to have been a problem in nightly builds: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=498616&sid=a3d5ed76e0e2aa047b7192b514370866 To which patches were deployed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362980 However, it seems I'm not the only one to suffer this problem still.

Do you mean the two at bottom left corner? One that says 'Book online' and 'Hertz Car Rental'?

To best illustrate this, I went to http://www.mozilla.com and clicked on the link for Firefox Add-ons (https://addons.mozilla.org). This is when I get the attached alert. Obviously, if I allow for "this session", I don't get this alert again till another time. My point is that prior to thi...

I dunno whether it's to do with this release, but ever since I updated I'm seeing more certificate alerts than before. I hardly ever saw any previously, and on sites I visit regularly, the screen pops up and I click to allow for this session. A good example is anything to do with mozilla.org.

adserver.example.com

In Adblock Plus, there is the following under Advertisement filters:

Code: Select all

http://*.adserver.example.com/*
Is this genuine and needed? As far as I can see there doesn't appear to be anything at example.com anyway although WHOIS records show the domain exists.

Ad at hummy.org.uk [added]

Just recently installed Adblock Plus and your filters. Excellent! :) Ad being served top of page at http://www.hummy.org.uk . Culprit is http://www.dabs.com/images/tradedoubler/lcdtv_468x60.gif . I dunno if you think this is one to add to the global list for update or one I should add myself. In the...
