awin.com

Post by vico »

Code: Select all

https://www.frandroid.com/wp-content/plugins/humanoid-forfaits/url.php?plan-type=mobile-plan&plan=677819&source=shortcode_list

trouvable ici

Code: Select all

https://www.frandroid.com/comparateur-forfaits

en cliquant sur une offre RED ou LAPOSTE avec Adblock actif.

Et voici à quoi ressemble lien final :

Code: Select all

https://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?gid=XXX&mid=XXX&awinaffid=XXX&linkid=XX&clickref=Page&clickref2=VAR

Merci pour votre aide car je suis également concerné par cette problématique.

It's blocked by EasyList, you'd need 2 exceptions for the example above

Code: Select all

@@||awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=$popup,domain=frandroid.com
@@||zenaps.com/rclick.php$popup,domain=frandroid.com
but I doubt it will be fixed

English:

Hello, there is a misunderstanding, I am not talking only about frandroid but about all the sites using aw1n links, namely hundreds of thousands. Imagine that you are on a laptop comparator and you click on an offer from Fnac, you will be unable to display the page. Isn't the role of adblock to block pop-up ads? Blocking all the links even in the content seems counterproductive to me and it is not the role of adblock. There is now the CMP with the acceptance of cookies from visitors. If visitors refuse, their data will not be transmitted during the click. I hope that is clear enough because it seems incredible to me to block these links. If we follow this reasoning, we should also block all amazon links, tradedoubler and any other affiliate links, except this is not currently the case. thank you for your understanding

Hello,
I have the same problem with my website which use Awin links.
My links follows also these two redirections. This is how Awin'links are working.

first :

Code: Select all

https://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?gid=369895&mid=7310&awinaffid=274849&linkid=2543196
And then :

Code: Select all

https://www.zenaps.com/rclick.php?mid=7310&c_len=2592000&c_ts=1646073874&c_cnt=274849%7C369895%7C2543196%7C1646073874%7C%7Caw%7C0&ir=796aed41-98c6-11ec-9f90-226225cdd961&pr=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.red-by-sfr.fr%2Fforfaits-mobiles%2F%3Fawc%3D7310_1646073874_78e1a38c4fe290b590467eda177a82dc%26utm_medium%3Daffiliation%26utm_source%3D8257%26utm_campaign%3D2748492BFR%2B-%2BTop%2Bforfaits&bId=HLEX_5ef0a8c362e4d8.29519971&cookie=1&c_d=zenaps.com

Stop using awin and link directly. zenaps.com is a privacy issue. zenaps.com also sets tracking cookies.

@fanboy

We can't stop using AWIN links, as we said, it's an affiliate links so if we stop using them, we kill our businesses. It's the same if you said to every website to stop using amazon links or other affiliate links, that's is not possible, that's their economic model.

The problem is that this update is not good for adblock users who wants to use many websites with affiliate links and i guess it's not the main purpose of adblock.

We are legaly obliged to put a cookie acceptation popin so if adblockers are accepting cookies, i can't understand why this affiliate awin links should be blocked... As you can see in theses pictures, AWIN is in the list, so if a visitor accept cookies, the link should work.

Awin and Zenaps exist since many years, so i don't get it, it's not impacting the user experience and it's not an "ad".

Sure, its fair to call it not an advert. Has been moved to Easyprivacy instead. Removed the popup block also.

https://github.com/easylist/easylist/co ... d433f6d5fa

A user will still get a warning if they click on it, but will be there call if they should proceed.

Hi @fanboy and thanks for your answer.
It's already working but I still have the problem of two awin links on this page :

Code: Select all

https://lemon.fr/comparateur/
With theses links :

Still a popup filter

Code: Select all

||awin1.com/cread.php?s=$popup

Box Fibre Power issue for a filter in easyprivacy but that one will remain (test disabling easyprivacy)

Its a tracker, it should be blocked. The people wanting unblocked work for awin, so theres that.

Did you remember your last post ?

So why every affiliate links are not blocked because they all have a tracker ?? That's about consentment acceptation, not adblocking. That's not ads as we said, it's an affiliate link. So if we follow what you say, you should block amazon affiliates links, and every affiliate links.

Example : here

Code: Select all

https://www.frandroid.com/comparateur-forfaits

if we click on the first offer with this link :

Code: Select all

https://www.frandroid.com/wp-content/plugins/humanoid-forfaits/url.php?plan-type=mobile-plan&plan=677783&source=shortcode_list

the windows is shutting down automatically, but if we click on the second offer with this link :

Code: Select all

https://www.frandroid.com/wp-content/plugins/humanoid-forfaits/url.php?plan-type=mobile-plan&plan=677805&source=shortcode_list

it's working. That's not a popup.

Both are affiliate links with trackers, that's the goal of an affiliate link. And that's just an example, i can do the same thing with other awin links.

I'm not working for awin, i use their platform for my businesses and affiliate links are the keys of many businesses like mine. So i don't care about awin, i'm just saying that this adblock issue is killing my business and many others, and it's against customers who wants to find produts or services by clicking on these links. Tha't really unfair and illogical.

Really, i don't get it guys, that's not logical.

I have just discovered yesterday that both AdBlock & uBlock Origin (are stopping me from being able to access some broadband deals from major UK price comparison websites (PCW).
The links are not to adverts from the PCW but to ISP deals that I might wish to purchase.
Some of the affected sites are major UK websites including:-

Code: Select all

https://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/

- try entering postcode NG125AH & try then to click through on deals from any of these ISPs
BT, Sky, Now, EE & TalkTalk, they all are blocked. Then try a Virgin deal - it is not blocked.

It is the same for the leading PCW website

Code: Select all

https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/

plus a large number of other market leading PCWs.

Not all ad blockers have this issue - it seems to be related to the following:-
Blocked because of the following filter:

Code: Select all

||zenaps.com^

Found in: EasyPrivacy

zenaps.com in the UK resolves to awin.com.

Hello guys, I have the exact same problem. All my AWIN affiliate links do not open when using an adblocker (at least I tested on Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin).

This is also killing my business. These links are NOT ads per se. They are links to partner websites and are identified as such in the privacy / cookie policy and marked as "sponsored" in the source code.

AWIN doesn't seem to know about this issue, but I forwarded them this topic.

Please can you do something about it? This is killing thousands of websites!

Note: my site is also in French, could that be part of the problem? Maybe a filter targeted at French-speaking audiences?

Also note: I noticed that this issue comes only when using the target="_blank" parameter. If i remove it, then the links open properly. But I don't want to remove it, since I would like these links to open in new tabs (plus, removing this paramter is a huge pain in the neck).

For example here:

Code: Select all

 https://lemon.fr/comparateur/

if you click on one of the buttons "voir l'offre", it won't open when Adblock is on. And it has the target=blank parameter.

Please can you help us or give us an update on this issue? Thank you.
