Thanks for the info, smed79.

It's just that, with uBO 1.14.16 with its default settings (Firefox 56.0.2 -even in a clean FF profile, with only uBO installed-),
I never get the popup entry (your screenshot) in uBO logger,
whatever rarbg.to page I may open, and even if I reload the pages bypassing cache (Ctrl+F5).

darkblue Did you try the filter above ? still working:
rarbg.is##script:inject(abort-on-property-read.js, _wm3)

intense, I just tried it (changing in it rarbg.is to rarbg.to, and inserted it on top of the other related filters), but it doesn't block anything as I see in uBO's logger.

I mean, that, in rarbg.to, with uBO's default settings and filters, without ANY custom filters,
the script

Code: Select all

https://dyncdn.me/static/20/js/expla60.js
gets blocked by EasyList,
and there are no popups/popunders/redirections/absolutely no problem.

BTW, I just tried various pages in rarbg.is, which is a working mirror, not a dummy non-working one,
and noticed that

Code: Select all

https://dyncdn.me/static/20/js/expla60.js
is not blocked.
That is because in the relevant rule in EasyList:

Code: Select all

||dyncdn.me/static/20/js/expla*.js$domain=rarbg.to|rarbg.unblocked.work|rarbgmirror.com
the 'rarbg.is' is not contained. I'd suggest that you added it.

The filter above rarbg.is##script:inject(abort-on-property-read.js, _wm3)
is an injecting filter which for now is not showed in uBo (it wasnt implemented yet).

If I delete all the cookies for rarbg.is - without the filter - I get popups.
With the filter is all ok.

What is your issue ? Deleting cookies / local storage for that site, and using my filter, do you still get popups ? or what ?
Don't use other custom filters.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that injecting filters are not showed in uBO's logger. And hadn't tested it with deleting all cookies (I edited my last post).
So, with that filter (removed all others), all is well.
Thank you.

Thank you guys, I can confirm that smed79's filter correctly block the random ad reloading itself in the page. I don't really need to read comments on the site so I'll keep it like that by changing the domain. Thanks :)

edit: Finally I'm using this filter to block the js:

Code: Select all

/^https?:\/\/(www\.)?dyncdn\.me\/static\/20\/js\/(?!(behavior2|comments2|rating2|scrollspy|jquery))(.*)/$script

rarbg.com

Hi,
Whenever I browse twoddl.co or rarbg.com then press the search bar, I get a popup with malicious sites like izxdpodiowdgp.bid, 35.188.14.213, b.codeonclick.com or nextlnk1.com and then it keeps redirecting itself to advertising websites.
Browser: Firefox 57
AdBlocker: uBlock
Filter Lists:

Code: Select all

Your help means the world.

- be sure you are using ublock origin ! what version is your ublock ?

- rarbg.com redirects to rarbg.to which is already fixed in ublock origin filters

however, if you still see rarbg.com in the address bar, use this filter
rarbg.com##script:inject(abort-on-property-read.js, _wm3)

- for twoddl, add this filter

Code: Select all

twoddl.co##script:inject(popads.net.js)

Sorry, I should have been clearer.
I'm using the latest version of uBlock Origin (v1.14.18).
I was talking about rarbg.to but mentioned ".com" as a reference only.
I'll try twoddl filter & see how it goes.

Be sure "uBlock filters" list is enabled in uBo

It is enabled as shown in my screenshot above.
Also, what about rarbg & other similar sites which my popups based on? They not only show up if I press on their search bar, they would also appear if I press anywhere on their page!
Thanks so much for your help :)

If the filters above (or those already in "ublock filters" list) don't work for you:
- disable all other blocking addons
- try using the last beta uBo:

I've noticed today that, while https://rarbg.to/index8.php still works,
https://rarbg.to/torrents.php now redirects to:
https://rarbgproxy.org/torrents.php
(even after deleting all rarbg cookies).

So, the uBO specific filter becomes:

Code: Select all

rarbg.to,rarbg.is,rarbg.com,rarbgproxy.org##script:inject(abort-on-property-read.js, _wm3)
(I added all domains mentioned in the thread, in case the redirection is temporary, or they change it again )

@darkblue for specific filters for uBo you could report directly here: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues

Code: Select all

||rarbgmirror.xyz^$script,~third-party
PS: The popup is blocked by easylist http://i.imgur.com/dW8zkos.png

But I don't have any issue with the filter: by adding the new domain to it, it still works fine.
I only posted it to inform the forum members who use the filter about the redirection and to add the new domain.
PS: The popup is blocked by easylist http://i.imgur.com/dW8zkos.png
Yes, but, as mentioned above, with the uBO specific filter there's no popup at all.

Using uBO 1.15.4 in Firefox 58 and 1.15.2 in Chrome 64.

I've noticed today that, I now get popups (to hitcpm.com) -which appear momentarily and are eventually blocked by EasyList-
after deleting cookies when clicking anywhere in https://rarbgproxy.org/torrents.php or inside torrent detail pages
even though the uBO specific filter rarbg.to,rarbg.is,rarbg.com,rarbgproxy.org##script:inject(abort-on-property-read.js, _wm3) appears in uBO's logger that it indeed blocks a dom element.

If I add the previously mentioned custom filter I no longer get popups:
/^https?:\/\/(www\.)?dyncdn\.me\/static\/20\/js\/(?!(behavior2|comments2|rating2|scrollspy|jquery))(.*)/$script

Maybe the uBO specific filter could be modified in order to work again regarding the popups?

PS. I don't have any other problem, just wanted to inform the forum members.

1. even if you see the injecting filter in the logger it does not mean is blocking something ! it means only that is ...injected in the page.

2. added to uBO: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets ... 09ee1d00e3

I thought that it was listed in the logger because, based on the injecting filter name, it had blocked the access/reading of the properties of the JavaScript variable _wm3 in the dom.

Thanks for the clarification and the quick response.

The logger entry means that uBO has injected a filter that aborts the variable "_wm3".
The site has removed the variable "_wm3", so the filter does abort ... nothing.
