Also when i turn it off, it plays the video but it now shows 2 commercials in the video itself which i can't block.

Did you disable brave internal adblocker for that site ?
Going to the page above I can click and watch the first episode for example (Witte eieren)

Yes i have disabled it and then when i disable dutch easylist in ubo it plays but when i enable dutch easylist it stops playing or when i enable brave plugin it also stops.

Unfortunately as I said I cannot reproduce the issue on my end so only you can investigate further

So when you press play button you first get 2 commercials and then the actual video?

When i press the play button it shows a black screen and it just keeps loading and loading.
When i disable the shield in brave browser i get the same, when i then also disable the filter: easylist dutch then i get the commercials however the actual video does not play after these 2 commercials.
When i go to a private browser mode it also gives me the same result; 2 commercials but no video.

I tested again in uBO, brave / chrome, dutch list enabled, all fine on my end => no ads, video is starting normally

You should use a chrome portable and test again using only uBO default settings / lists (with dutch list enabled)

Are you using pi-hole ? some advanced router settings (with adblocking rules) ?

Strange when i download chrome and ublock it does work.
prehaps some flags i have disabled and enabled for security and privacy.

Edit: no thats not it, i downloaded brave beta and used no extension, i have no flags and i have disabled all security, allowed all cookies etc and it doesn't work there.
So it must be Brave then.
However, i could watch them before, before i made the complete switch, at least so i think....

You have to disable completely all security blocking features in brave (cookies also don't block them)

Yes i have. Everything is off, no extensions not even ublock, and only the 2 ads show up and then no movie.
So i think it is the brave browser. in chrome itself it does play but this fork (brave) of chrome doesn't.
I wonder why.

It seems it has to do with widevine, i don't want it but i need it to play the video, hoewever easylist still blocks part of the video.

Yes you can block all adds on npostart! Just block the adserver.

In uBlock origin you can find the dynamic filtering rules here:
settings -> My rules.

I'm not sure about other plugins But a similar setting should be available.
Add these two lines below to the permanent rules to block all adds.
