Hello, this is the first recurring advertisement that I’ve reported, so bear with me.

Fandom has, on all of their Wikis a list of “Trending Fandom Articles” (it’s native advertising) both on the Siderail of every Wiki & in the footer of each Wiki (titled “Fan Feed” with yet more native advertising), along with yet another footer below containing a “Discover New Wikis” tab with three sponsored Wikis (almost always the same three). Neither of these three modules are helpful for the maintenance of each Wiki, & exist purely to draw readers away from the Wiki to read whatever article they are showcasing. Adblock doesn’t currently block these by default, & I have had to manually block all three elements on every single Wiki I frequent, which is beyond annoying.

Is it possible for someone to have these blocked by default? I’m a newb when it comes to this, & I just want these annoying buggers to go away permanently.

Here is the report.

I cannot reproduce the ads.
However, remove easylist list (is already included in the combo abpindo+easylist)

Smartclip ads show up at the top of the page. I can't get them blocked for the life of me.
I tested, and they appear on some wikis but not all of them.

Upon re-enabling the Windows Firewall, the ads vanished.

Also, I was told that somehow my IP address was found under the Stop Forum Spam database.
I was temporarily banned for a short time, but luckily was able to settle the issue. Why was it found there?

I've never spammed.

Do you have a dynamic ip ?

wikia.com uses Instart Logic, conditionally as per source code. Could be the poster's issue.

You'd have to ask the Stop Forum Spam folks that question.

Oh, okay, so Wikia is using some sort of script provided by Instart Logic to run ads I don't want to see. Got it. But what can I do about it? Although it's a very insignificant problem that only affects very few wikia pages, it's still a bit concerning ads can just slip through EasyList from time to time.

Try uBo (ublock origin) with uBo Extra (disable ABP).

Why can't there be any filters that can countermeasure this Instart Logic thing on ABP though? Is it THAT good?

Just tested it on the Undertale Wikia. Smartclip ad still shows at random. Disappears after reload. I have no idea what it is.
You think a browser extension could be injecting ads into my browser? I seem to be the only one experiencing this issue and the ads are IP-Based.

In fact I just got an ad targeted at the town I live next to when at . Was able to block it myself by blocking the frame the ad was in but the Wikia ones are still showing.

To be precise Is it possible to block all of the annoying feature videos from Wikia?

When I click on the uBlock Extra icon, no options or anything appears. maybe it's not working. I'm not sure

There are no options, ublock extra has a sites list internally to remove the instart logic crap.
