Just thought id like to point out that this upcoming popular anime streaming site has now started to indulge in pop up iframes and redirects upon clicking on anything.

ive managed to so far to temporarily block this via: http://i.imgur.com/Nx5RkpQ.png

however just thought id like to spread the info in hopes easylist gets its filter updated for this site

this and including a couple other sites are growing rapidly in increasing popularity. due to the collapse of kissanime and their malvertising campaign.

I cant reproduce, post an adblock plus report link.

It's cookie based. Delete all cookies and site data related to 9anime.to/.is

Using Adblock [Chrome Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

Upon changing from one episode of a series to another you're greeted with this message blocking the player.

I am unaware of any certain rules regarding the posts upon this forum,

so I'll be posting within the general accepted format.

Same issues as lukacolic. Videos play for a minute or two and then that message appears.

Website seems to come up with some new anti-adblocking measure every 48 hours, making it a real headache looking for solutions. Happens for all animes, regardless of video server. Website plays videos just fine if you disable uBlock Origin.

How to replicate:
1. Go to any anime.
2. Select a video server (IE. Server G3, RapidVideo)
3. Will immediately redirect to an ERROR 404 with a different path depending on what video server you selected.

I tell it to block the ad, click the ad, the whole 9 yards and it just pops up less than 2 seconds later (legit 2 seconds)

New issue. Ublock gets detected and they have this boxes with a sad face "don't blocks ads" on them.

I'm having a somewhat recent problem with this website. There's this one invasive Ad i can't get rid of. It pops up right when you play any anime in there.
I've tried using the option to manually remove it, but when i click where it is supposed to be, it "erases" the player itself instead of the Ad. I tried manually adding some of the filters provided here, and even tried to create some myself, but no luck =/

Yes, i did try most, or all of them. I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but the Ad keeps popping up. And it doesn't always appear when i reload the page multiple times, so it's hard to know if the filters worked. But it does come back after some time, even if i don't reload the page. And even now it still open a pop up Ad, so i guess the filters didn't work.
The Ad seems to be somewhat "built within" the player or something. I say that 'cuz it won't open anything if i click on random places of the page, it only pops up when i click on the player and/or play button. And if i use the AdBlocker option of blocking an Ad by clicking on it, it actually blocks/"deletes" the player, so i have to undo it to watch the anime. =/

The Ad here can't really be "seen". It's kind of a transparent Ad that you have to click before you can click on the play button.
The thing is: there was another Ad similar to that which i could remove easily remove by manually selecting it so Adblock would get rid of it for me. While when i try to select this one, Adblock gets rid of the player itself instead of the Ad.

In both the first and last image, the cursor is right above the player (even though it doesn't show up when i take screen shots). Notice that in the first image, the player button is darker than in the second, 'cuz the Ad is on the way.

The Ad also only appears every few minutes, instead of every time you reload the page. So it takes a while to make sure that the filters don't work .-.

That looks like a tabunder. If you're on Chrome, browse to chrome://flags/#enable-block-tab-unders and set it to Enabled. That will disable the redirection which you have been facing, a popup will still occur. The tabunder is already patched on uBO, so I can't reproduce.

The boxes are back. Might have something to do with their url change. Example on main page:
