Filehippo New Ads

I use Chrome 22.0.1229.94 m on Win7 SP1 x64. My Adblock extension is AdBlock 2.5.46.

I visited Filehippo to check to see if my software was all up to date. I clicked to download the latest version of Foobar and was met by the following adverts in the middle of the page. This is the URL where I found the links & images on http://www.filehippo.com/download_fooba ... 2d73e54f3/

I went through the sources and found embedded in a div tag an outbound link, possibly a widget for a site called techbeat.

The main stylesheet I could find had no mention of any ads or anything else, and the other 2 style sheets were specific to older versions of IE http://www.filehippo.com/inc/main17.css

The code I linked above starts on line 129.

I can't seem to manually block the ads myself, so I thought I would bring it to your attention. Any help would be appreciated. If I can supply any more information, please let me know.

TechBeat is a news site and does not sell products itself. The content in question doesn't seem very intrusive compared to similar widgets elsewhere. Can you reconsider whether these are considered ads?

The FileHippo / Techbeat ads are IMHO pretty intrusive NOW (not sure if they weren't before)
