Rick,
I can't get to adblockplus.org or any sites on that domain. There is a topic on DSL Reports already: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r202649 ... usorg-down
If you want to send your filters I can mirror them for you.
04/03/08 EDIT: The site is back up now.
adblockplus.org is down [resolved]

I managed to forward adblockplus.org to adblockplus.mozdev.org - put up a temporary site there. Cannot do the same for easylist.adblockplus.org however, MozDev certainly won't be happy about that kind of traffic.
The provider had to take down the site because it caused extreme load on the server. Not sure what happened, I am downloading the log file right now.
PS: I have a copy of easylist.adblockplus.org - but do you really think your server can handle that? It generates 10-15 hits per second with monthly traffic beyond 100 GB.
PPS: Cannot see anything suspicious from the logs, it seems that the server simply got overloaded because of the many EasyList requests.
PPPS: I probably found the culprit. I hope the provider will agree to try reactivating easylist.adblockplus.org.

Thanks Wladimir.
I see easylist.adblockplus.org is up right now.
I can help out share the load if you like I have a sharing account with about 2 TB bandwidth monthly. Currently we're are about 1 GB per month.
Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Wow, I just logged on to check things before I went to bed tonite (11:30 PM here). I haven't been on for about 10 hours. I'll have to catch up tomorrow.
Thanx for the notification and the offer of help, Lanik.
@Wladimir:
Do you think the subscription autoupdating should be bumped to 10 days? That should cut the bandwidth in half.
Let me know what I can do to help ... I'll catch up in 8 hours.

@ Wladimir:
Do you need a temporary ABP category in the forum?

have we got a mirror for the devel builds of adp?
I could arrange one pretty quickly, if I have the mirrored files.

According to the provider, the server load is back to normal - it was being caused by the script that kept merged subscriptions up-to-date (which is switched off now), unfortunately there was no way for me to tell that this script is generating any server load whatsoever. I can probably restore adblockplus.org but I guess I'll still have to move to a different server later.
