Combined or seperate subscriptions

Post by Hubird »

I have always used the combined EasyList+EasyElement subscription. I was wondering if there was any advantage to using the separate EasyList and EasyElement subscriptions. I ask because on http://easylist.adblockplus.org/ I noticed that only the separate versions are listed.

Using them separate makes it easier to troubleshoot false-positives because you can more easily define which type of filter is the problem. This is especially helpful when whitelisting is involved because element-hiding rules cannot be whitelisted. Being able to turn of each type of rules makes it easier. Wladimir made the combo filter .... it wasn't my idea.
