if they are changing the tricks it's obvious new filters are necessary.

for pornhub you could use this userscript installed in greasemoneky / tampermonkey

hi,

the domain name i-stream.pl is operated by mindgeek and used to serve ads on pornhub. this rule should block it:

Code: Select all

||i-stream.pl^$third-party
the only other rule that i see in the easylist repository related to i-stream.pl is this one:

Code: Select all

easylistfanboy/firefox-regional/IsraelList.txt:7073:@@||i-stream.pl^*/advertisement.js

^ That was the orginal list, has since been forked.

In Adblock Plus, It (pornhub) seems to be okay. Maybe if pornhub spent more on making their site better than attempting to defeat Easylist..

How can I remove the AdBlock alert line?

Code: Select all

pornhub.com###abAlert
only hides the text.

Thanks.

the "text" is part of the page so you can only hide it, or whitelist some other element so the site thinks is all fine ... and does not display the warning anymore

Hi intense,

If you click the X on that line the container is removed too.
Can't this be done with a filter?

Thanks.

yes, with the filter you already posted above:

Code: Select all

pornhub.com###abAlert
but this is a hiding filter and not a blocking one

LE: probably you are talking about the empty line ? I cant remove it ..

That works with ABP but not with uBO + uBlock filters.
Can you test it?

Thank you!

it does not work due to

Code: Select all

||trafficjunky.net^$third-party,important
to disable the effect of such rule, just whitelist media.trafficjunky.net using dynamic filtering

How Do I do that?

BTW, that rule also blocks the popunder when you press Categories.
With ABP. With uBlock filters it's blocked.

Great.
I had to allow advanced options.
If I disable advanced options the rule * trafficjunky.net * allow is still in My Rules but it doesn't work.
Why is that? Can I disable advanced options and get it work?

Thanks.

PornHub Using a Background Image Hack to Circumvent Ad Blocking

If you load the PornHub homepage with AdBlock Plus, (on Chrome and Firefox) you'll see that some of the advertisements are circumventing AdBlock Plus. (with the EasyList filter enabled and updated)

It appears that PornHub is using JavaScript to load the advertisement(s) after the page has loaded. And they are hiding the advertisement inside of an HTML SPAN element, using a background image hack that involves "base64".

You can see the HTML span element and background image hack here: (I used PasteBin because the character count is so massive)

http://pastebin.com/5tckppir

Or you can just visit the PornHub homepage to see the situation yourself.

The video advertisements on PornHub (described above) are still circumventing EasyList's filters, even after the latest filter list update.

If EasyList is unable to stop these video advertisements via AdBlock Plus, then I'll stop asking about the problem. But I haven't gotten an answer yet, so I thought I'd ask again.

I'm using Firefox with Ublock Origin (also tried adblock plus) and ads just started showing up on pornhub again. They're mainly on the right side of and under every video, and when browsing www.pornhub.com/video.

I can't understand this, why are you allowing pornhub to pull any XHR requests outside of it's own domain? why the hell I keep seeing ads with the default filters for the last 4 months!

The issue with the filter @@||google.*/... is already fixed. You have to update your filter lists.

add also:

Code: Select all

pornhub.com##[-abp-properties='data:']

The css properties filter is for adblock plus. For ubo add pornhub.com##script:contains(data:)
