tracdelight.com

Post by lela_schoen » Mon Nov 21, 2016 9:33 am

The following rule breaks widgets for tracdelight.com. Bloggers and magazines have integrated tracdelight widgets on their websites, and the blocking heavily affects the user's ability to click and purchase the publishers shopping recommendations:

Code: Select all

||widgets.tracdelight.com/iframe/$third-party
https://github.com/easylist/easylistgermany/blob/d3d17bcbdbb03c9f69fd18f4168f2065a5ba95b9/easylistgermany/easylistgermany_thirdparty.txt

Two examples:
- http://www.bunte.de/ (Star Look Category)
- http://www.the-shopazine.de/fashion/artikel/the-dashing-rider-stil-kann-man-einfach-nicht-lernen-man-hat-ihn-938/ (Fionas look)

These kinds of widgets aren't comparable to traditional advertisements. tracdelight widgets often are the content and usually the main focus of a post. Blocking the widgets make the articles and blogposts seem broken and incomplete and therefore make it useless for the reader and drives traffic away from people's websites.

Dear team, I'm not sure if the issue I've posted is in the right thread. Please let me know if you need any more info or if I have to move this to another thread. Best, lela

@smed79 I have posted this issue last November and haven't gotten any feedback yet. Could you let me know if this is still going to be noticed or shall I create a new topic?
