Search broken?

Post by e80 »

Is it me or is search broken on these forums? I'm looking for a certain cnn.com thread, but neither cnn nor cnn.com turned up any results. Any ideas what's wrong?

You may be looking in the wrong forum. A Google site search doesn't find cnn.com here either. Try searching in https://adblockplus.org/forum

You need to use four or more consecutive characters in order to search the forums. Unfortunately, using a "." splits the string, which means that cnn.com will not be recognised as valid.

Maybe Google site search doesn't work here. Good luck!

I have always found google more useful when searching for something on forums. A few key words and maybe use the search within url feature.

Google and Yahoo searches don't find anything in the Filter Suggestions forum. Perhaps lanik has disabled search bot crawling of that particular forum on purpose. Glad to see you found your cnn.com somehow, e80.

Yep, it's disabled and I don't know if I want to enable it, it just brings in spammers and other unwanted folks. :-?

You can search for 3 character words by using cnn* for example. Therefore only words with 2 or less characters can't be used, which shouldn't be a problem.
