Will this be fixed?

On another note, you seem to have some kind of odd connection issues to your server (bad configuration?). I couldn't access it directly so I tried a proxy (UK based), nothing. Tried a US proxy, and it seems to work.

I thought Guest posts on this board required Admin/Mod approval...
Have these bumping rules been cancelled?

Thanks for the reply confirming what I thought, but the main point of my post was the link... just wondering why is the post I linked an exception to these rules? :?

It was approved by mistake. We took care of it. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

You're welcome, happy to help :)

Someone put it back though.

Also another question:
I have a thread here that is near the top of a forum, that hasn't been answered yet despite some EasyList authors being in that forum. Seems like it was just overlooked.
In another board I'm on, I think using the "Bump topic" link puts the post back in people's Unread posts collection. Does that apply here, and at this point is bumping my thread going to make it any more likely to be seen?
TIA

EasyList authors are all a bit overwhelmed by the amount of reports :-? and do not have a lot of free time at the moment.
Please be patience!

No I removed a different post and didn't see the one you linked to.

It's site wide and that's the idea in a nutshell.

Thank you both for your replies, and thanks Lanik for clearing that up.

The particular thread I'm talking about contains an offer which may save them some time here and there (I'm asking whether it would).
But even so, based on your comment I'm going to leave it be for some time longer.
Thanks again.

Has this finally been fixed? Suddenly I can bump it, but that may be due to the sheer length of time since the previous bump, or because there's been a reply (by me) since the last bump.

Well in that case bumping is still broken as it can only happen once per thread reply.

I would have to check when I'm back from vacation and have access to a real computer.

I can now confirm that the functionality is broken. You can only bump once until a thread response is posted. Then you can bump once again until another post, and so on.

@Lanik: This might help you https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2126328
(Although I remember trying that on my local test board for some reason and it didn't work. Then again, maybe the problem I had was me also trying to allow bumping after only 2 minutes so that I could test more efficiently :P )

I noticed that earlier. I'll put it up somewhere more permanent. I didn't have a chance to fix it yet.

Its not. I've already dropped the offending posts and those people should know better.

Forum Rules wrote:there is a PHPBB imposed limit of one bump per topic.
It seems the phpBB 3.1 default imposed limit is one bump per post - so if someone replies after a bump, and the bump time limit goes by after that, it will be possible to bump again. If you haven't set up this board to behave differently from that, please fix, thanks.

I left the setup default. The only change I made was to allow bumping topics after 7 days.

So since the phpBB imposed limit is actually one bump per post in the thread, can you please change the statement in the rules to reflect this? Thanks.

We don't air our laundry out in public around here.

I made myself clear and I don't intent to discuss it.

You obviously didn't make yourself clear since I have questions. Either reply to me privately or I'll post here again.
