Reek's AakList no longer maintained?

Post by rhanajoy » Wed May 24, 2017 11:17 pm

Hi! A user on Twitter is claiming that Reek's Anti-Adblock Killer list (and presumably the userscript, too) are no longer being maintained. He points to these issues on the AakList GitHub repo as evidence:

Code: Select all

https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer/issues/3145
https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer/issues/2927
https://github.com/reek/anti-adblock-killer/pull/3074
As far as I can tell, the issues are referring to reeksite.com, NOT the filter list or userscript. That site is indeed out of commission and redirecting to a parking site. No one has responded to the issues reported, which certainly makes the repo look as if it's been abandoned. But there's nothing about it on Greasyfork (greasyfork.org/en/scripts/735-anti-adblock-killer-reek), although, again, there's been no response to reported issues since November 2016. Nothing comes up in a Google search, either.

Can someone confirm, is AakList still being maintained or not?

Thanks, @smed79. It's only for uBO, unfortunately. I'm kinda hoping to find something that works with, you know, AdBlock. :D

@rhanajoy Reek is MIA since late November 2016 and hasn't bothered to show up, so consider the whole project dead and abandoned.

Keep an open mind and give him a chance maybe over time, his attitude changes.
