Is there a filter list for web pages or content published by the mass media?
Rather than block the content, would it be possible to have an out-of-the-way indicator that you are viewing an article from the mass media list?

Murdoch Block is the closest thing I know, but it's a Firefox add-on and only for Rupert Murdoch (FOX / News Corp) sites: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addo ... erupert-a/
I'm not sure if it's still actively mantained though.

Here is the blocklist the add-on uses: http://murdochblock.info/community/gene ... perties#22
If you want you can turn it into an Adblock filter and host it on GitHub, for example.
If you try visiting a site that has been blocked by uBlock Origin (https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock) it will give you a warning and ask if you want to whitelist the site temporarily or permanently, so I think that is about as close you can get without creating a new add-on. If you want to make an add-on specifically for this you could probably borrow a lot of code from MurdochBlock though.

There is apparently also a similar Chrome extension called Bye Rupert: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ohkjoggoof
