24liveblog.com

Post by scr00chy »

Hi, AdBlock Chrome extension recently started blocking embeddable content/script from the website 24liveblog.com for some reason.

24liveblog.com provides an embeddable live blogging tool but it's now being blocked. It used to work fine even with AdBlock on.

Example site:

Code: Select all

https://spaceflightnow.com/2017/11/15/falcon-9-zuma-mission-status-center/
(there should be a refreshing live blog under the YouTube video but it's being blocked by AdBlock/EasyList)

Extension: AdBlock 3.21.0
Browser: Chrome 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Win 10 64bit

The embed reappears after disabling AdBlock or unsubscribing from EasyList filter.

Could you please take a look and add an exception to your filter?

Thanks!

It needs to work on any domain, not just spaceflightnow.com. The live blog can be embedded by anyone on their site.

Hi again, this issue seems to have been reintroduced in one of the latest updates. 24liveblog is being blocked again by AdBlock with EasyList enabled. Stops being blocked after unsubscribing from EasyList.

Sorry, I'm not well versed in how all of this works. I have no idea how I would go about easily finding the offending commit. Not to mention I never used github and I wouldn't know how to properly comment or what's good etiquette in that regard.

So I appreciate you helping out! I'm guessing you're the person who commented on the commit?
