statsradio.com

Post by moduvalstr »

Hello,

It would seems our domain statsradio.com has been listed in EasyList; blocking all our users' radio streams and our analytics platform. It might be a mistake since we are not an advertising company and our analytics is for our streaming clients only.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

My platform url isn't working, adblock block all my webapp script

https://station.statsradio.com

Here is some link to webplayer of radio station that we stream:

http://mapetiteradio.com/player/popup/cjpx-fm
http://www.o973.ca/lecteur/en-direct
http://www.m1035fm.com/player_vgx.aspx

You could see in brower console that the stream url is blocked.

All there station are using our stream url and none of them are working right now.

Could you please add our domain to white list so this dosen't happened again.

Thank you

Could you check if this exception is working for all your stations ?

Code: Select all

I will also have many other subdomain in the future. Like stream2 stream3... etc.

I don't want my cdn to be blocked either cdn.statsradio.com.

What can I do to not have my domain blocked by you product ? I don't want to have to contact you service every time i want to add a subdomain to my platform.

I asked you to check that exception.

What about this 1:

Code: Select all

@@||statsradio.com^$media
Does it fix all your troubles ?

Yes this exception works for the streams. the only problem remaining is station.statsradio.com is blocked when I try to access it on chrome.

Since statsradio does not distribute advertising on the web, only analytics/tracking, what could be the steps to have our domains whitelisted from EasyList (I understand our analytics scripts being on EasyPrivacy)? Would putting all our analytics on a subdomain like `analytics.statsradio.com`, be a preferable solution?

I have no poblem accessing station.statsradio.com

The filter regards only the third-party sites, probably you mean using that subdomain on other sites

I already notified an easylist author, he will decide what to do

Thank you! It would seem the problem comes with Chrome (ADP) if I go to `station.statsradio.com` from (for example) `google.com`; then the adblock seems to filter the website out. I dosen't happened all the time so it's hard to reproduce.

This behavior is not present on firefox.

Thank you, this fix most of my problem.

What can I do to not have our analytics blocked by default by adblocker ?

Those file have been added to the easyprivacy_general.txt

Code: Select all

/radio-analytics.htm
/RadioAnalytics.js
/RadioAnalyticsIframe.js
/StatsRadioAnalyticsHub.htm
Our radio analytics basically do the same thing than Google Analytics. Google Analytics is not blocked by default in most of the adblocker. We do not get user information, we just get information about listening of a stream.

Is it possible to not have our script blocked by default like it is the case for google analytics?

Thanks you.

@moduvalstr
EasyPrivacy is an optional subscription on most AdBlockers except uBo.
How AdBlockers implement filter lists (easyprivacy in this case) is their choice.
Google Analytics is blocked in EasyPrivacy.

Please forget the message above, the AdBlock I was using wasn’t updated properly; everything is working. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you again!
