I am an often contributor on the wikia platform, so I went to make my rounds about my usual wikis as I often do. However today, when I tried to access any of the webpages under the wikia platform, I received this message:

Something interfered with this website loading
This could be a temporary problem with your network, or due to your adblocker

Try:
Check your internet connection and reload the page
If you are using an adblocker disable it by clicking on the adblock icon in your browser toolbar
If the problem persists, consider leaving a message on the adblock user forums

Naturally, I went with the third option to visit this forum, as I had already tried checking my internet and disabling Adblock proved not to be an option. If any on this forum could help me with the issue please let me know.

Did you disable all other addons / extensions while testing ?

Won't allow me to view the site

Hey I'm having the same problem for a few weeks now. Happens only on wikia.com pages but on different pc's with different addons!

I used the Adblockplus funktion to report a bug so there is every information you could need I think.

I'll post the link to the issue report just that you know whats happening.

Try disabling all other addons, keep only ABP, repeat the test.

Try also FF 57 + last ABP beta:

(FF 57 will be the first with the new webextensions framework)

Sorry but thats a lot to try and I'm not a techie. I'll switch to another browser for wikia pages and wait for new FF or ABP versions and see if that solves the problem.

No offense. Maybe someone with more understanding of such things can help.

Just two steps for testing
1. Download the portable version of firefox 57 https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/ ... table/test

at least disable "betterprivacy" see what happens

Ok first I disabled "better privacy", did nothing.

Then I got portable FF 57 and tried a wikia page, it worked.

Then I got the last ABP beta, it didnt work (on the normal FF).

Then I remembered that I maybe should install the latest ABP beta on the portable FF 57

Did that, opened the wikia and it worked.

So, FF 57 + ABP beta (last build) works, right ?
You should stick with this setup (current "stable" ABP is outdated and not supported anymore when FF 57 will land in its stable embodiment)
