I wonder somehow if some users just may be updating at the exact time when I am doing an upload causing an 'error'? That would explain some random things.

With the latest version (Jan 7th) I'm having some problems with images at IMDb. Most images are showing up, but some are not.

Are the ones not showing up just the random flash banner ads that are part of the top of the navigation bar? ... or are there others?

No, not flash banner ads, actual images. Here a few examples.

The main page, look at it with ABP enabled, then disabled. A few images that are not ads go missing.

Then there are those like this...

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1775214/
http://www.imdb.com/gallery/hh/1775214
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1257092/photogallery
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1501624/photogallery
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004936/photogallery

Just look around IMDb and you'll find tons like these.

http://tracker.ryanvm.net/

Tracker Site for RyanVM's XP update pack, see how ABP+EasyList strips practically everything out of it, its a problem with it blocking http://tracker. objects.

Can you fix it?

Oh that's ok, pupil.

It's still a false-positive. I didn't really need that string as of yet anyway, so I will just remove it. Thanx.

in the ABP Tracking Filter the filter /1x1.gif blocks some graphics used for layout purposes on the my web hoster's site. Unfortunately I can't give you a link since you have to be logged in to see the problem. However, a look at http://www.google.com/search?q=spacer gif should be enough to understand why this filter has false positives. (It's sad this is still true in 2007...)

I was hoping that the 1x1 wouldn't break anything important. I guess I was wrong. I'll remove it.

The link to the top story is blocked on http://www.eetimes.com/
(THE electronics industry newspaper).

It should show in the top left box titled "Top Story". The box itself and the sub-headline are there but no link to the story itself.

The story link is:
http://www.eetimes.com/news/latest/show ... =196902166

Thanx David.
The culprit is:

Code: Select all

#*(id*=sponsored)
... in the element filter. I will fix this in 8 hours.

After playing around a little, I just realized, it's not Easylist that's the problem with those pics at IMDb, but EasyElements.

Or more specifically...imdb.com#img(width=160)

I am now locking this particular topic as it will be easier to deal with submissions by their own individual topics here
