EasyPrivacy preventing log in on Facebook

Post by Guest »

Starting today trying to log into Facebook doesn't work, it just sits there with the hourglass for the mouse pointer, disabling adblock plus fixed this, I then tried to find out which filterlist was causing the issue, deleting the EasyPrivacy filterlist allowed me to log into Facebook again.

Disabling 'tracking.js|' seems to help.

Can this filter be modified?.

In the absence of anything unforeseen, the solution would probably be for him to add a $domain exception:

tracking.js|$domain=~facebook.com

Users should just disable the filter like you said until this is fixed.

EDIT: My original comment about rick752 being "busy" was incorrect (and in retrospect callous). See http://forums.lanik.us/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=3366

Bumping since this is probably the most important of the false positive reports I can see on a casual glance at the page.

I made the replies as 'Guest' earlier in this thread.

For me, the 'tracking.js|' filter no longer causes a problem with Facebook Login. I guess they have been altering the web pages.

Perhaps we should continue to monitor this for now.

Bill.

I'm having a lot of problems getting peoples profiles to load if I don't have the easyprivacy filter disabled, I tried just disabling the tracking.js one but that didn't help.

Seems fine to me after some quick testing...Could be a region thing (I don't use facebook though so I can't be 100% sure)

I just tried re-enabling the filter, and I am not having any problems. I am using the US version of Facebook.

After a quick test, I didn't have any problems on Facebook with EasyList and EasyPrivacy. If anyone still has a problem, please tell me.
