If you go to http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201601310577143 or any other adverts on the site and try to Report the advert (link below images) or email the seller, the iFrame content of the lightbox is blocked. Disabling EasyList allows the lightbox to load correctly.
Good Afternoon,
We've had feedback from users on www.autotrader.co.uk that when they search for Private or Trader advertisers they are unable to save their search. It appears that Easylist is blocking this from working because the term 'trade_adverts' is in the URL. This is stopping users who select one of these fields from saving a search on our Car, Bike and Van Channels.
Looking at the list:
https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/easylist.txt
The references which appear to be causing this issue are:
_adverts
+adverts/
Steps to Reproduce
- I do a search for any vehicle on the most recent iOS,
- click on any advert
- get redirected to about:blank page.
- if i deactivate ABP in safari i can browse to any ad.
- if i turn on ABP i can continue to browse to any ad.
- If i clear my history i can no longer browse to ads and get the about:blank page
Our Dev believes the issue is this reference in the blocklist:
Hopefully this can be resolved quickly as one of our other teams is experiencing a similar issue on our Private adverts online platform but only on Iphones with the adblock and Easylist enabled. This is blocking core functionality on our site. Will raise this issue in a separate post.
Navigate to a advert with Video e.g.
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201606215117461
Clicking on the main thumbnail image loads the image gallery then click on the play link to start video
Video fails to work when Adblock Plus is enabled. More specifically it doesn't work when the Easylist is enabled.
This is the 3rd issue I am aware of on our site regarding this list:
Two were previously reported in:
https://forums.lanik.us/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=32346&p=101413&hilit=autotrader#p101413
I've also raised a separate support ticket with Ad Block

Thanks intense, we are a classified advert listing site so the word is in fairly common use around our site as consumer pay to list adverts, advertising their vehicles. Surely exclusions can be added for certain URL's and site domains.
