Forum Promotion loading blank pages do to EasyList

Post by Quacker Jack »

Hello EasyList Staff,

It would appear that Forum Promotion (http://forumpromotion.net/forum/index.php), a phpBB forum with over 20,000 members and over 1,100,000 posts and somewhere between 160-210 users online daily, is having issues loading certain due to your filter list. Several pages that members use on a regular basis that contain forum information are loading as blank pages due to the blog. Below, I have linked you to several places where this is an issue: (I am unaware of how much of the content above you will be able to see, so I am happy to provide screenshots if necessary. However, seeing as this is a phpBB forum, I imagine you will be able to figure out what pages I am talking about.)

"The Team" page - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/memberl ... de=leaders
Who's Online page - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/viewonline.php
View your posts - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/search. ... =egosearch
View new topics - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/search. ... =newtopics
View new posts - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/search. ... d=newposts

We have received several reports from our members of the community. Here is one topic that contains an image of what they are experiencing and also contains a link to more topics where other users are complaining about the same thing: http://forumpromotion.net/forum/viewtop ... 3&t=120276

As you can see, these pages contain no advertisements or any content that should be blocked. After some research on our end, it appears that this specific filter is what is causing the issues with the pages I've linked above:

Code: Select all

forumpromotion.net##.forumbg2
For now, we have asked our members to work around the filter by "Don't Run on this Page" or unblocking the forumbg2. However, it would be greatly appreciated if this could be entirely removed from your filter list. Again, it doesn't contain any ad content on it. If there is any reason why this should still be on the filter list, I would be happy to address any issues so that this can be removed.

Thanks for your time,
Quacker Jack

Yes, it does! It appears to be fully functional now on our end. I will let our members know and if there are any other issues, I'll post it here.

Thanks!
