MediaWiki pages with "advertisement" in title [fixed]

Post by eighty5cacao »

The EasyElement filter string:

#*(class*=advertisement)

seems to cause blocking of the body element on pages with the word "advertisement" (in all lowercase) in the title on any MediaWiki-based wiki.

An example of the body tag that the MediaWiki engine generates for such a page is:

Code: Select all

<body  class="mediawiki ns-0 ltr page-Television_advertisement">
(from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_advertisement )

Other affected pages include:
http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/UnNews:App ... s_in_media
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/advertisement

The following pages are not affected; note that the word "Advertisement" has a capital A:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... edirect=no
http://uncyclopedia.org/index.php?title ... edirect=no

Without knowing more about specific sites that have actual ad elements hidden by this filter string, I am unable to suggest a workaround.
