Not with MY subscriptions.

What the heck is going on today? People are sending me things that are already blocked by me. Are people having problems with their updates or something?

This is the 3rd time today and it's only noontime here. :?:

Summary. I did not have the "Hide <noscript> elements" option checked in NoScript. Retested with that option checked and the ads are now blocked.

Sorry. I forgot to Allow JavaScript for fosters.com before submitting this report. But I did remember to update my subscriptions before reporting: EasyList, EasyElement, ABP Tracking. If I allow JavaScript, then ABP blocks http://www.fosters.com/js/s_code.js and the ads aren't sent. View source... fosters.com uses "<noscript>" to serve the ads differently if JavaScript is disabled.

Could this explain any of your other reports?

It might. It just seems strange that this has happened on 3 different boards today about 3 different sites. Why today? What is different?

Anyway, thanx for that Alan. :)

Now that I think about that, "/s_code.js" is only a tracker and shouldn't affect the ads at all.

1 of the 2 strings that I listed above should have blocked that ad.

wtf?

:!: Wait!

Did you disable:

Code: Select all

*/ads/*
?

That blocks them all (4 total).

Testing with EasyList only. No filters disabled. The ads are visible only if JavaScript is disabled, e.g. from the Fx Options dialog. In that case the ads are of the form
http://fdads.sv.publicus.com/apps/OAMS.dll/img/fd001...

If JavaScript is enabled. The ads are blocked by

Code: Select all

*/ads/*
as expected.

Oh wow! .... Well THAT'S a first! :shock: Different serving for script and noscript hey? Looks like they are using that to beat NoScript (the program).

Hmmmm.
Ok I fixed that too.
