Ad at hummy.org.uk [added]

Post by TonyW »

Just recently installed Adblock Plus and your filters. Excellent! :)

Ad being served top of page at http://www.hummy.org.uk.

Culprit is http://www.dabs.com/images/tradedoubler ... 468x60.gif.

I dunno if you think this is one to add to the global list for update or one I should add myself. In the latter case, would

Code: Select all

http://www.dabs.com/images/tradedoubler/*
suffice?

Actually TonyW, this worked out much easier and cleaner as an element-hide because their ads use a few different tricks to keep them alive at the page top .... but they can't hide from their own page code. Also, simply blocking the ads doesn't get rid of that annoying "ADVERTISEMENT" text on some of the pages ... now that is gone too.

Update the EasyElement subscription now. If you are not using the element-hiding supplemental filter also, then adding:

Code: Select all

hummy.org.uk##body>div>center
... to you own filters will do the trick. But they have been added to the EasyElement anyway.

Good work ... thanx ... and welcome :)

I am using EasyElement so have updated accordingly. Thanks for that. :)

I wasn't sure, but thought I'd report it anyway.
