I get similar ads to those presented by smed79. I have the AdBlock exension on Chromium 62.0.3202.89 on Ubuntu, with the lists AdBlock custom filters, EasyList, Spanish, Adblock warning Removal, EasyPrivacy, Fanboy's Annoyances, Malware protection. All of these list are up to date as of now.

schure unfortunately right now there is a bug (See #6052 linked above) and such sites can bypass the websoket detection, so you could try uBo

I use uBlock Origin and it's not blocked. I found that the following script is what handles the ads. It looks to be disguised as jQuery, but at the bottom of it you can see how it handles how to pick and display ads:

Code: Select all

Blocking this script looks to have no other effects on the site, and it removes the ads.

or

Code: Select all

$websocket,domain=diffen.com
||static.diffen.com/js/uponit.js
schure these filters are working in ABP too (the second one, the first is not intercepted by ABP)
