At the bottom...
An Ad... fyi
I swear.. that sucker was present last night... or else where would I come up with an "ad" if I didn't see it with my own eyes??? I actually did a screen capture but didn't feel like resizing it to fit the forum so I nuked it. Oh well, no ad today! (yes, I am sure I wasn't using IE!)
After downloading the first round beta of IE and uninstalling it within 20 minutes, I decided to go with the latest beta 7.0.5450.4 and I am slowly but surely converting.

Just went there to see if I could see it. I got the ad too. It's somewhat blocked but not completely. Here is the location.
Sorry this is going to stretch the page.

The other part is located

Bet that's some kind of ad server? hope this helps.

They may be rotating ads from different servers.
Try:
... should do it. Looks fine here.
Try:
Code: Select all
*/adsvr.*

Actually, no, I didn't see it. I DID see that one the first time around with Adblock turned off .. but it was blocked when I turned it on. Because you and Rich both saw it though, I looked into it a little further and found a 3rd-party feed that may be rotating somehow by ANOTHER 3rd party feed. Afaict, they seemed to be fed from a 3rd-party subdomain that always starts with 'http://adsrv.'. (this is strictly a guess).IceDogg wrote:Was you able to see it though Rick? Just wondering.
EDIT: PS is this a new ad server? Or just one set up for this site or something? Sorry so many questions. Just trying to learn as I go.
I checked the domain name out where the ad was (can't remember what it was called) and came up a 'null' on it. The subdomain '//adsrv.' would probably imply its intentions, so I'll block that and check it on and off tonite.
ps:
As of this writing I have not yet uploaded it. I'll check it out a little further to see if I can actually find a 'commonality'.

OK, I'll upload in a bit.
It's being served from a domain called:
.... the directory structure from that site keeps rotating even though the domain stays the same (that's different). That is probably why they were seen and then not-seen. Some of my generic-type filters probably allowed and disallowed the ads based on the particular address.
I was going to use the domain at first, but it looks a little "hokey". I figured it would probably just be better if I made a 'generic' subdomain filter instead.
*/adsvr.*
... might catch other sites too.
Added and uploaded ... update regular EasyList
