looks like we might have to give in and whitelist all third party scripts. because they are just going to keep changing them

Thanks, it worked. @EasyList authors, will these rules make it into EasyList? Is there a policy in effect that determines whether exception rules such as the above which is required to fix the issue will be made part of the main EasyList? If so, any timeline on it?

I'm using this filter:

Code: Select all

@@$image,domain=cbs.com
@@|http://*$script,domain=cbs.com
@@||pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/ads?*$domain=cbs.com
||2mdn.net^$domain=cbs.com
It was working great until today. Now I just get a message about disabling adblock.

Image

Anyone know where I can find a new filter that works?

Thanks in advance!

Did you try the filters above (posted by me) ? :roll:
Remove your filters, add only those above.

Tried to disable every filter except the 5 above, but no luck.
Then I decided to try Chrome and identical settings, and it actually worked on the first attempt :?
So I guess that Firefox is messed up somehow :roll:

Anyway thanks for all the help intense !

You mean you need a login? I prefer not to give my login info on the forum. However you can still watch some videos without being logged in to test it.

Thanks.

Hello,

These filters did not work on Firefox when I tried to watch this video:
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/jake-arrieta-raises-hopes-for-rebound-from-his-recent-slump-in-cubs-loss/

I subscribe to EasyList and nothing else.

For what it's worth, when I select all and paste the filters into my custom filter, they get pasted in this order, and I can't change it in Adblock Plus:

Code: Select all

@@|http://$xmlhttprequest,image,domain=cbs.com
@@||b.ifmnwi.club/*?z=$image,script,xmlhttprequest,third-party,domain=cbs.com
@@||pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/ads?*rule=$domain=cbs.com
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the quick response.

@smed79: I went back and added EasyPrivacy to my subscriptions and that, plus the three filters referenced above, did work for me. I'm not a technical guy, but maybe you don't need the added filters at all if you've got the most recent EasyList and EasyPrivacy?

@intense: I haven't needed to update my filters to your most recent ones

You might want to start by reading the thread and following some of the suggestions.

CBS content used to get through with having ublock off, allowing one ad to get through and turning unblock on once the show started.

But today, if you have ublock on, after the show plays for about 40 seconds, you get this message:

cbs asking to turn off adblock as of sep 1, 2017, was free to watch before and I updated easylist but did not help? Do I need to add the codes from over a year ago?

Code: Select all
