Huge adverts at the sides and the top advertising the mail online app.
A previous filter was posted that got rid of these. But they have now come back.

Firefox and Chrome, adblock plus with easylist.
There's huge adverts, the full height of the screen on both sides advertising "all your favourite stories form Mailonline now on windows tablet - Get it on Windows 10"

Latest EasyList with Google Chrome. Sponsored Links by Taboola appears on top of the article. May require reloading the page several times to reproduce the issue.

Snapshot of the problem http://i.imgur.com/KUv1SEy.png

e.g. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/index.html

filter fixes the issue.

Code: Select all

dailymail.co.uk##.trc_rbox_container

Big banner ads on either side of the page and one below the main menu.

SS:

While the side ads should be hidden by this:

Code: Select all

www.dailymail.co.uk##a[href^="http://windowsphone.com/s"]
I don't know what to do of the banner ad below the main menu, @intense @smed79 any help...

the element picker what does catch up ?
it should work your filter above
www.dailymail.co.uk##a[href^="http://windowsphone.com/s"]

try also
dailymail.co.uk##a[href*="windowsphone.com"]

Does not work, with element picker its creating a uBlock specific filter: ###content > div:nth-of-type(2) > iframe. Can a ABP filter be created from this?

this 1 is accepted by any adblocker but ...depends of the position in page (...type(2)).
the picker gives you more options, there is no blocking filter ? (no hiding filter ..)

There is a banner for the MailOnline App on the top of the mobile site, I am unable to block/hide this banner completely it is probably loaded through a js. Can someone help me block the banner out?

No, the banner is still there, you can check the mobile site through Chrome dev tools.

That works but only for android devices, iPhone devices have this: http://i.mol.im/i/mobileimages/b-appstore.png as the image URL, we should use this:

Code: Select all

||i.mol.im/i/mobileimages/b-*.png$image
But there is still a blank banner below the image which I am unable to remove.

Can this be hidden @intense?
