Using UBO. Is there a way to block content on yahoo based on a keyword or keywords?
I'm sick of seeing daily stories about the Kardashian clan posted as news.
Can you please post a custom filter that will block stories with the word
"Kardashian" on yahoo. Thanks.

Smed79 what about if you have two words such as "Kylie Jenner"
I tried that on the same filter but it does not work for multiple words.

You sometimes see these in yahoo finance news links. These filters will take care of them:
Code: Select all
||smartasset.com/embed^
finance.yahoo.com##iframe[src*="smartasset.com/embed/"]

One more:
Code: Select all
finance.yahoo.com###mrt-node-Col2-2-ComboAd
This zaps an empty div in a column along the right side.

I've recently seen ublocked Yahoo sponsored ads even with Ublock.
Some examples:
Code: Select all
http://thehealthdigest.org/4187/type-1-diabetes-overview/?id=91bb553e472be30ff5ff6a7e5919ce92&search=diabetic+diet+plan&utm_source=HD_DT_US_FB_DiabetesDiet&utm_medium=referral
https://huntnow.co.uk/browse?keyword=whats&search-btn=Search
http://rovingpanda.com/search?search=top&cat=0&at=1
http://rovingpanda.com/6841/top-5-wellness-destinations-world?search=Top
Edit:
another examples (after searching for the strings on publicwww):
Code: Select all
https://exploreshops.net/sch/?phrase=top
https://themoneydaily.com/?ads=1&s=cheap+tv+broadband&submit=Search
Suggested rules:
Code: Select all
||partnerads.ysm.yahoo.com$subdocument,third-party
##a[href*="search.yahoo.com/cbclk"]
##.yh-unit
##.row-ad-fb
##.ads-list

Are these ads?
https://i.imgur.com/1DvM26K.png
Code: Select all
https://es.search.yahoo.com/search?p=jqhwerihwqeuiruqwieruwqe&fr=yfp-t&fp=1&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8
I found it strange, because I read it in english
When you search, and nothing is found, those images appear.

More
annoyance for me than an advert.
You can ask
_here_ , where these images has been waitlisted.

Is there anyway to block articles from certain sites or publishers? I visit Yahoo.com but lately, there are more and more articles from UK based sites like Yahoo News UK, The Independant, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Yahoo Style Uk, etc. I don't understand why US Yahoo feels the need to use UK sources. If I wanted UK news, I'd go to the UK site. I've already chosen "See less from" on those articles but I keep seeing them.
Thanks.

I'm looking at Ad elements with class "Feedback" which are hidden by the EasyList rule:
These show up like this (when I turn off adblocking):
http://immortalsunited.com/files/Capture_yahoo.PNG
So the blocking of the element hides these. But the images for these items is still loaded over the network. It would be nice if we can block these too. The images are loaded via a url like this:
Code: Select all
https://s.yimg.com/uu/api/res/1.2/3wXx3vAjGd6c1v3MvEkgXA--~B/Zmk9c3RyaW07aD0yMzA7cHlvZmY9MDtxPTgwO3c9NDQwO3NtPTE7YXBwaWQ9eXRhY2h5b24-/http://l.yimg.com/av/curveball/ads/pr/RESIZE_AND_CROP/1200x627/aaf88fc7fcca6a2cd74117891587d6a4.jpeg.cf.webp
Maybe someone can figure out a url pattern filter to block these too.
thanks!!!
-Jim.

There's a whitelist for these for some reason.
Code: Select all
! https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/16141
@@||yimg.com/uu/api/res^$domain=yahoo.com
in AdGuard Base..
Here's the three matches I get:
Code: Select all
https://s.yimg.com/uu/api/res/1.2/pvFPG9_9jdXLB6HQJuONeA--~B/Zmk9c3RyaW07aD0xMjM7cHlvZmY9MDtxPTgwO3c9MjIwO3NtPTE7YXBwaWQ9eXRhY2h5b24-/https://media.zenfs.com/en-us/insidermonkey.com/39b6c722038df9eb5cafa1eb0a91bffd.cf.webp

works

Right but the whitelist in AdGuard Base is also whitelisting the ad images.
