I think that there's a new rule that breaks http://www.deadline.com/ website. I keep getting a page that says the adblocker is interfering with the site.
I looked on the easy list and found only two mentions, deadline.com##header > .header-ad-mobile + * and ##.ad
I tried whitelisting them both, each separately, and when I whitelisted the first one, the "adblock broke the site" page stopped coming up.
Does anyone else get this?
I'm using OS X and both Chrome and Firefox. The ABP is 1.12.4
I do not know if it's anti-adblock. When I white listed the first rule, and kept the adblocker on, it did not do it. (Also, reporting for a friend - happens on his machine too, and he said he has been using ABP for a while and never had a problem before yesterday.)
I used the 'grab' program on FF on OS X, but I do not know where to send it so you can see it. It does not happen to you?
It is good to know that it is not just us then. Are these rules tested before they are added to the easy list? I will show my friend how to white list the rule (or maybe just white list the site), but I think that it will affect many people.
This is my first time here, so thanks for the patience.
I'm having the problem on Safari with AdBlock (both are owned by the same company, right?). I whitelisted, but I don't want to whitelist or have special rules as I want to have the normal ruleset for protection.
Will this be removed? Is there another group to talk to for that?
Thanks - that was the rule I had worked out and used. Would it be cleaner to remove the rule and keep the ruleset more compact, rather than force people to work around a rule that breaks the site? It seems to me that would be a better UX for consumers, and while only slightly, keep resources in check on the browser.
