http://www.imore.com/

Greets with a pop-up:
Adblockers make us sad. We use ads to keep our content happy and free. Please support us by whitelisting us. You can report badly behaved ads by clicking/tapping the nearby 'Advertisement' text.
They seem to be using "Admiral" Anti-Adblock from http://getadmiral.com

The site's greeting page for adblock users asks users to support the site by voluntarily whitelisting. Its tone is polite and understandable, design is consistent with site (e.g. no flashing stop signs), there are no ads on the greeting page, it provides a link to instructions on how to whitelist, the user remains in control of filters and, in fact, is provided a large, central button for continuing to additional site content whether adblocking remains active or not.

In this way, the site attempts to engage visitors in a polite, constructive manner without blocking their option to proceed, and circumvention of that would go well beyond blocking ads into new/different territory that circumvents copyright protection and conflicts with informed user choice. This is an appropriate case for users to be allowed to choose for themselves whether the content of this site is worth supporting.

Thanks, it works for me today (no anti adblock message). They are indeed rotating domains that serve java script.

Today it is owlsr.us and spottysense.com, yesterday it was roastedvoice.com.

I will live with it for now as they indeed let you click the "Continue after whitelisting" button and they will let you use the site even without whitelisting. I just found the button "Continue after whitelisting" misleading.

Other pages from the "Mobile Nations" group have the same mechanism, like crackberry.com etc.

Many thanks for looking into this.

iMore.com is now using an aa. It seems made by a company called A dmiral, since i've seen this on other sites. Is there a way to rid off all A dmiral blocks or we need to report it just site by site?
