I'm having trouble getting this to work on Chrome using uBlock Origin. It just displays a black box where the video would be. Any idea what I might be doing incorrectly?

Thank you for this solution, it worked. I was curious what list was conflicting with the filters in the OP, so I went through 1 by 1 until I found the culprit. For some reason, "Malvertising filter list by Disconnect" is the sole list causing the issue.
Are there any specific tutorials or reading materials I can look at to learn how to make anti-adblock filters like the one you posted in the OP?
Thanks again.

You could enable the logger in ubo and see what "Malvertising filter list by Disconnect" filter is fired, then you could whitelist it for history.com domain
Read this thread:
https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=42628
to have an idea about the anti adblocking stuff and some examples

It looks like this object blocked by the "Malvertising filter list by Disconnect" is causing the problem:
Code: Select all
http://adm.fwmrm.net/crossdomain.xml
Allowing this lets History videos work for me while still keeping the previously problematic list enabled.
Thanks for your help, and for the suggested reading.

I'm using Chrome, not Firefox. Please share your filters like you did before always
Link to the website
Code: Select all
http://www.history.com/shows/stan-lees-superhumans/season-3/episode-4
I can send you my Xfinity account if you need

1. follow the indications here to see all the blocked elements
/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=43791
2. upload the screenshots on imgur.com, then post the links.

As of a few days ago ads now appear along with the content on history during the breaks.
Using UBO v1.14.14, FF v56.0
Code: Select all
http://www.history.com/shows/hangar-1-the-ufo-files/season-1/episode-2
These filters no longer work:
Code: Select all
history.com#@#.ad

1. in uBo is working without any other filter.
2. in ABP is working using easylist + easyprivacy + this filter:
Code: Select all
||googletagservices.com/tag/js/gpt.js$script
(remove all other custom filters)

Great job intense. Working fine with just the default filters.
