opensubtitles.org (revdefender.com)

Post by kroepoek » Tue Feb 02, 2016 9:22 pm

I have some trouble with websites whom have an annoying adblock blocker with the name: revdefender -> example = http://www.opensubtitles.org/nl/subtitl ... re-past-nl

under the ads it said: served using rev defender. the site said it is designed to block adblockers see: http://revdefender.com/

I have tried to get rid off these annoying ads with adblock plus, but it does not seem to budge :( there are still there every time I go on the site :( even blocking them true Norton security does not work & chrome does not help either :(

it would be nice if someone could disarm this pesky site/ads.

Hi, Rhana from AdBlock here. We've got some users reporting the same issue. When I try the filter you suggest, I'm still seeing Rev Defender ads.

I am having the same 'issues'. Looks like they are incorporating adds in a new way. Hope it gets resolved.

Cheers,
Henk

Oops, sorry, here's a link where I'm seeing Rev Defender ads: http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... 5/alien-en

The following filters remove the Rev Defender ads:

Code: Select all

@@||ads2.opensubtitles.org/1/www/delivery/*
opensubtitles.org##IMG[src*="data:image/jpeg;base64"]
opensubtitles.org##IMG[src*="data:image/jpg;base64"]
opensubtitles.org###ad1-placeholder
opensubtitles.org##DIV.content[style="position:relative;"] > A
opensubtitles.org##img[src*="data:image/gif;base64"]
opensubtitles.org###setofavi > DIV > DIV:first-child
opensubtitles.org##TR > TD[colspan="9"]
opensubtitles.org##[itemscope] > FIELDSET:first-child
opensubtitles.org##DIV + FIELDSET:last-child
The following filters remove the Carambola ad that remained after the Rev Defender ads were removed:

Code: Select all

||carambo.la^$script,domain=opensubtitles.org
opensubtitles.org##img[src^="data"]
||hipersushiads.com^
opensubtitles.org##[itemscope] > FIELDSET
Some of the filters were suggested in this forum. I don't remember where I found the others.
